PYER MOSS x REEBOK FW’22

The collection is the fourth and final drop entitled, “GODIZU UIZGOD”. It is inspired by spiritual statues and artifacts, the collection embodies Pyer Moss’ unique storytelling cadence across reimagined staples. It’s about seeing ourselves as a supreme entity and embracing our power from within. Garments like hoodies, mock-neck dresses, jackets, sweatpants, leggings and more nod to length, self-portrayal, spirituality and a higher sense of community. Bringing the collection to life are rich shades of red, burgundy, teal and black.

Psychedelic marbled prints in red, black, and white are leveraged on easy silhouettes infused with a sporty sensibility (like mock-neck slip dresses, stirrup leggings, and technical puffers). Cropped turtleneck tops, more subtle windbreakers, and logo-detailed socks with the acronym 'UZGD' down the front are also on offer to complete a set. Fans of the solid-color hoodies from past releases will undoubtedly appreciate the new range of shades for the new season. But what sets this drop apart from the rest is the updated take on those coveted sneakers on everyone's wishlist. Enter stage left: The Experiment G's.

The final collection follows the announcement of Kerby Jean-Raymond‘s departure from Reebok as its Global Creative Director:

“In 2017, we formed a partnership with Reebok. this opportunity was intended to promote 2 sneakers during an 18 month term, but soon became part of a 5 year journey as we leveraged our creativity to make much more than 2 shoes. After our collection 1 runway show, we proved ourselves to be worthy of much more than temporary cultural tourism.

We used this opportunity to not only elevate the reebok brand in total, but to elevate and provide opportunities to the creative community around us with our new resources in the form of capital and distribution. We took everyone with us.

We continue to center self-realization, spirituality and a higher sense of community in all of our work.

This is the last reebok by Pyer Moss collection ever.

There will never be another. In the spirit of love we have decided to close this chapter with support from our family and friends who have been our support system and backbone throughout these years.

Thank you to all those involved.

Remember that you are a creator and the creator is within you.

The future is extremely bright and exciting.”

The collection stays true to its sportswear heritage, with hoodies, mock-neck tops, lightweight skirts, leggings and joggers oftentimes emblazoned with the Pyer Moss moniker. In outerwear, buttoned jackets don all-over graphics in green and red, while zip-up alternatives intend to keep their wearer warm in red and black. A standout, though, is a shiny, billowing puffer-turned-trench coat, worn by multi-hyphenate entrepreneur Rich Dennis in the collection’s campaign, pictured above.
