NAO SERATI X REEBOK SS’22
“Nao Serati” means love and the inspiration is always love. With this collaboration we wanted to celebrate the love and joy that our community creates and exudes while celebrating the superheroes we have become through wearing love on our chest. There are so many folds that could tear us apart but we are all brought together by the gift of love so Neo (Designer of Nao Serati) wanted us to actually wear that on our chest and hopefully remember that we are the safe space and we are the love that can't be prayed out of us.
The Reebok team and I collaborated with our partner Nao Serati to create this collection together. Above is our apparel design and development process from archive to trend research, concepting, sketching, and merch boards to accurate techpacks with information regarding fit, material, artworks, color and trims. Together as a team we reviewed and approved production stages of creative execution, ensuring creative excellence to the end. We then have the final products photographed on models at a studio photoshoot.

In celebration of Pride Month in South Africa Reebok hosted a pre-launch party for a fashion showcase of the Nao Serati x Reebok collaboration that featured bold and inclusive designs inspired by Nao Serati’s exploration of art, gender, and South African heritage.
